Youth First Conference Special Guest Presenter

(Lindsey will be selling jewelry.  Bring your money.)

Lindsey Roy's Story:
Although she was born with Down Syndrome and has been challenged by some of the associated health issues, Lindsey has been very happy and has lived life to its fullest!   She is fearless and pursues interests and hobbies with excitement and dedication and she is a great source of inspiration for her large circle of friends and extended family.

Lindsey keeps busy and active in the community.  She attends college at The University of Colorado in Colorado Springs (UCCS).  She also takes dance lessons, performs in the local community inclusive theater, loves to paint and currently volunteers at the YMCA where she has volunteered for the past 10 years.  Lindsey also volunteered at Memorial Hospital for 3 1/2 years where she started on the patient floors and moved to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). Lindsey is a serious fan of music, theater and dance and has been cheer leading for the Denver Jr. Broncos Cheer team.

After graduating high school Lindsey got a job stringing beads for a local bead shop.  Lindsey had always been talking about going to college just like her brother. She wanted to raise some money in order to take classes and she wanted to start her own business because she has always had a dream about being a business woman.   Lindsey decided to follow her dreams and soon Lindseymade Originals was born!

Lindsey's bead stringing soon expanded to necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Beyond raising money for her college, Lindsey also donates part of her jewelry sales to many other wonderful charities.  Lindsey had spent enough time volunteering for the Memorial hospital, UCCS, the YMCA and local Down Syndrome Association to know that it's important to support these organizations.  This little idea has turned into a job for her future that she is excited about.  She has a great time meeting new people and sharing her abundant kindness and generosity with everyone she meets!
